Costa Rica Pickleball Vacation
May 3 -10, 2025
This vacation is a coordinated group pickleball vacation available to all pickleball players. Spend eight days and seven nights at a Spanish Colonial Style Luxury Villa near Tamarindo, Costa Rica, in the Guanacaste Region. Pura Vida House is a four-bedroom villa and a two-bedroom villa with a private swimming pool and a beautiful outdoor area in between. Buena Vida House has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and is right across the street. The two properties amount to a total of 4,500 square feet that can comfortably accommodate up to nine couples. The villas are well-appointed with organic toiletries, towels, beach towels, linens, hair dryers, security safes, cooking essentials, and the best Costa Rican coffee. You can also use their mountain bikes to enjoy the resort’s 20-mile trail system and our four-person golf carts to get around the resort in style!
Breakfast and dinner is prepared at the villa by a local chef including fresh tropical fruits, empanadas, shrimp and rice, Spanish paella, fish tacos, and traditional Costa Rican casados.
Daily pickleball play, including instruction, drills, and open play with a professional instructor/s are held in a beautiful jungle setting.

7 nights accommodations at The Pura Vida House (6bd/6ba villa) and Buena Vista House (3bd/3ba villa) - 18 spots available in 9 rooms (double occupancy only).
-
Private round trip airport transfer (Liberia/Guanacaste, LIR) *shared group shuttle, extra shuttles can be added for additional cost (Liberia International Airport) - we need to coordinate flights so we arrive and depart about the same time since there is only one shuttle each way. FYI, the shuttle stops at the local market on the way to the villa to get drinks and snacks you would like for the week.
-
2 meals per day by a private chef at the villa (breakfast/dinner) - the villa owner's mother is the chef. She went to culinary school and is restaurant experienced. It is all authentic Costa Rican style food so if anyone has diet restrictions/allergies, you need to let me know ASAP so I can fill them in. They give us a lot of food, fresh fruit, juices, etc. and we usually keep the leftovers so people can snack on those for lunch if you are around, etc.
-
2 hours of PB drills each morning with 2 pros (if we have 18 total) - We usually drill from 8-10am each morning because of the heat. We can also go to the courts any time and if they are open, then just play. They do take reservations for court time, but then it costs $15 per hour.
-
4 Golf carts to get around resort (3 six seaters + 1 four seater) and parked in our garage. So each day we will need to coordinate who is going in what cart to get around, or 2 people can ride the e-bikes if you want.

-
Access to the JW Marriott Guanacaste (8 restaurants/bars) access to the pools and beach also. FYI, the bars and the restaurants are expensive here.
